I really liked exploring everything! The store, the sewers, the freaky "Where is Gus?" sign was quality. The ending soundtrack though - some of the best ever!
Question, I am having a big error that is affecting the gameplay. When I boot up the game, the game is zoomed in just enough so that the subtiles at the bottom telling me what to do, are nearly cut off besides the tips of the letters so I have no idea what the games wants me to do. Do you have any way to fix this?
This game is super cool dude, and I'm hoping to finish it soon so I can give my full opinion on it, but I'm stuck in the sewers! Could you let me know how to get through them? I've been wandering for over twenty minutes, still found nothing that I can interact with... I found a ladder that looks like the exit, but I can't climb onto the platform to interact with it, and I'm not sure if that's actually the path forward or not.
This game is right up my alley! I love the retro look and feel! As usual, Jonโs music jams and helps to set the tone, taking the player back to the era. I was truly surprised by the gameโs ending; I never expected to witness what I did. Iโd love to see this game or idea expanded into a larger release!
I played through the game and actually recorded it for my channel. I can not emphasize enough how much of an amazing game this was. I absolutely loved it, the atmosphere and the weird, lovecraftian story elements were beautifully done. However, I will say that I was not fond of the aspect of aimlessly scouring around the sewers, and did encounter an issue with not being able to pick up the boxes at times. Overall, I had a lot of fun, thank you!
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you had a good time with the game!! These two issues are a result of the 2 day limit of the jam I'm afraid. The idea was to follow the water flow in the sewers, but I can see how even that can get confusing. Same goes for the boxes, didn't have enough time to polish the mechanic.
I completely understand that, my friend. Like I said, they were only minor issues for me. Also, that would actually make a lot of sense, I think I was just being a fool and didn't notice it. Honestly, I really enjoyed the game, and would love to see what comes next for you. Thank you for your reply, by the way!
I Was Hoping That There Was Gonna Be A Jumpscare In This Game, But It Was Still Overall A Good Game And The Sewers Was Kinda Scary NGL. Keep Up The Good Work Man!๐๐ฅ (Here's My Gameplay On It)
I had a great time playing. The ambiance was done very well and keeping you on edge throughout the game. Was hoping for a few jumpscares but I had a great time playing it for sure! The sewers were super creepy!
Ohh thanks for the kind words! It was more of an atmospheric vignette with an unsettling turn, so that's why there weren't any jumpscares. Thanks for playing!
As for the lag spikes, I haven't had someone else mention that issue and didn't encounter it when testing myself. Could be that it happens with certain hardware configs. The game itself can run on anything moderately modern though. I guess it just happens sometimes, who knows. :P
Wow thanks for the kind words!! Yeah Jon and Toni are really talented folks, that's why the soundtrack is so awesome! It's short but with only 2 days to make something I'm pretty satisfied with the length. It doesn't outstay it's welcome as well that way. The door trigger is a known issue for some people, Sometimes it doesn't trigger when being super close to the door. Thanks for playing!!
Hey! Yeah I don't do YT that much, if at all, now. I guess you folks can play the games I make instead of watching me playing other people's games haha.
Can you please add killer bees demo in this page, it takes long to download the haunted ps1 demo disk to play killer bees, I just want the game I dont want to play the game from haunted ps1 demo disk
Amazing modeling and texture work. It successfully subverted my expectations as to when the scares would happen, which I appreciated. I'm amazed by how much content you could fit into this game given the length of the jam. Great job.
Thank you for the kind words!! I tried to make it kinda unpredictable in a way. The nature of the story was such so it wouldn't be something expected. So I'm glad it did come across like that! Thanks for playing!
Ahhh, Ioved this! I had trouble opening doors sometimes (I think if you're too close it wont work?), but otherwise it was a smooth experience. The atmosphere and graphics are spot on! I actually got really early Dreamcast vibes from the beginning. Like Tomato convenient store at 3am lol. Kinda want a legit supermarket sim with these graphics... Anyway, great job!
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I know the issue you're talking about. A specific door needs some tweaking, so I'll probably push a fix for that! Ohh now I can totally see the tomato convenience store from Shenmue at 3am vibe!

This game reminds me of Puppet Combo!

Awesome game! Very simple and very entertaining, I had a lot of fun making this video
Keep it up, I'd love to play more similar games!
(I say "these graphics are horrible!" in the video, but actually I really like the PS1 style graphics and I play a lot of games like that ;D)
No Commentary :)
Really loved this game, its PS1-style graphics and atmosphere.
Great night city atmosphere. Satisfying ending. Keep up!
Loved the game. Great atmosphere and overall creepiness. I'm not sure why out guy would go into so much trouble for Gus though lol
I gave it a go (starts at 11:05)
WAS GUS EVEN REAL. YO DEVELOPER, WAS GUS EVEN REAL??!

Nice creepy game and cool retro style. The music at the end was awesome. Good stuff Neurobew!

It was a little confusing with how I needed to progress but after I got that figured out the story unfolded nicely.
Glad you liked the story! Thanks for playing!

Sweet! Thanks for playing!!
Thanks for playing Iwan!!
Bugreport~
The text is glitched out through the bottom of the screen, making only the top two pixels visible, therefore making all text unreadable.
changing my aspect ratio to 4:3 fixed it
It's a known scaling issue with Unity and some display drivers unfortunately! Glad you got it working though!
Unfortunately, I'm afraid that a mac port won't happen.

you're welcome bro
Is the game finished and needs no more updates?
Yep the game is finished!
That was amazing! By the way, are there multiple endings?
Glad you enjoyed it! Nope. there is only 1 ending.
Another question: are you planning on updating the Killer Bees? If the game is finished and no additional content is needed, I might play it now!
Yes, the demo of Killer Bees is final. The full game will come out in the future.
